LAKEFIELD
A ‘whydunnit’ mystery series set in Australia’s Deep North
Created by Caden Pearson
What Is Lakefield?
Lakefield is a gripping short-form mystery series set in the haunting beauty of Australia’s deep, tropical north.
Charlie, a big-city journalist, returns to her remote hometown after a distressing call from an old friend. What begins as an urgent wellness check quickly spirals into something darker, drawing her into a tangled web of unanswered questions, local suspicions, and dangerous secrets lurking just beneath the surface.
In a place where the rainforest hides more than it reveals, Lakefield is a story about the weight of silence, the power of love, the ripple effects of grief, and the moral grey zones we navigate when truth, loyalty, and justice collide.
Told in six bite-sized episodes, Lakefield invites viewers into a world rarely seen on screen.

He is drawn to stories with heart, depth, and meaning, regardless of genre.
